Objectives
To develop procedures that can be used to predict long-term strength losses of geosynthetics used in highway applications.
Comments
Three final reports on major task areas have been printed and distributed. A fourth final report on another major task area is being processed. The three available reports are FHWA-RD-97-142, "Stress Cracking Potential of HDPE Geogrids"; FHWA-RD-97-143, "Development of Protocols for Confined Extension/Creep Testing of Geosynthetics for Highway Applications"; and FHWA-RD-97-144, "Testing Protocols for Oxidation and Hydrolysis of Geosynthetics."
