To develop rational guidelines for using micropile technology to support new and/or existing structures to resist large forces, especially from extreme events such as earthquakes, ships impact and scouring from floods.
A project with UC Davis was initiated to investigate pile cap reinforcement requirements when inclined micropiles are used. The final report should be available this Spring. (updated: 3/24/04).
