Scope of Work

Dear All,

To align our capabilities and, ultimately, deliver desired services to our customers, we have decided to reorganize the Engineering, Research and Development department as below:

 

Applied Research: Made into a separate department

Engineering Management: Made into a separate department comprising of two sections:

  • Project Portfolio Management
  • Technology Business Management

 

Hence the following roles have also been realigned:

 

  1. Muneeb Malik – Project Portfolio Manager – Project Portfolio Management section.

Project Portfolio Manager will be responsible for managing and analyzing project portfolio of the organization as well as develop reports, dashboards, and analytics to support the management with strategic objectives relating to project portfolio. Portfolio Manager should have the most in-depth understanding of projects and translate this information into actionable insights for senior leadership. Project Portfolio Manager will be responsible to track and support projects and technical teams with smooth project deliveries.

Some of the responsibilities of Portfolio Manager are:

  • Evaluating, authorizing, and monitoring projects as they pass through the project lifecycle
  • Optimizing techniques to identify the optimal management and execution of projects
  • Sequencing and timing of approved projects based on resource constraints and dependencies
  • Developing proposals for the management for strategic objectives and decision-making

 

  1. Kulsoom Abbas and Wajahat Latif – Technology Business Analyst – Technology Business Management section

Technology Business Analysts are responsible for bridging the gap between technical team and the business using data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to executives and stakeholders. They communicate with stakeholders to understand their technical needs. They develop and analyze functional specifications, and they coordinate with developers to build and implement technology solutions. A Technology Business Analyst must have a strong understanding of regulatory and reporting requirements and must be able to forecast, budget, run a financial analysis in light of the key performance indicators.

  • Creating a detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions for a business
  • Gathering requirements and acceptance criteria, and scoping new projects
  • Leading software and systems enhancements, including suggesting and prototyping new functionality
  • Planning for and maintaining technical work backlog and providing status reports to leadership team
  • Developing, grooming and executing on a product/project roadmap with your scrum team

Technology Business Associates are responsible for communicating the clients requirements to the technical team. Their duties include analyzing business data, conducting financial analysis, preparing reports, adhering to company procedures, providing information to stakeholders, and driving business growth. The Technology Business Associate is responsible for:

  • Creating a detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions for a business
  • Identifying and then prioritizing technical and functional requirements
  • Planning and monitoring
  • Variance analysis
  • Reporting
