Study Description

See attached solicitation document for background information. Phase I work is being accomplished under TPF-5(051). Progress reports are available on the website.
Objectives
The purpose of this study is to implement the most cost-effective techniques for improving bridge deck life through the reduction of cracking. The work involves cooperation between state departments of transportation, cement companies, contractors and designers.
Scope of Work
See attached solicitation document.
Comments
A minimum contribution of $70,000 is requested from each partner. The contribution may be committed over several fiscal years. The KU Transportation Research Institute has committed an additional $500,000 so the total project funding will be nearly $1.5M.
